How to get your new technology blog noticed

It is important for a tech blogger to keep up-to-date with all the latest tech news and trends, new gadgets, software and social media applications.

To get inside information in advance about new products, direct from manufacturers and distributors, you need to build up a good list of personal contacts. These could include software developers, marketing managers and retailers.

Reliable sources can be expanded by joining mailing lists, contacting press offiers and subscribing to industry newsletters.

A technology blog can feature podcasts, text or videos of interviews you have with influential people. When an exclusive interview is linked, shared and recommended in social media networks, the blog will quickly gain many new followers.

Try to get person-to-person interviews with industry leaders and software developers,  if possible. You can also approach professionals with polite email requests for answers to some intelligent questions about their own products or services.  

Tech questions can be answered on your blog, and individual advice given to those who need tech help can be included in your blog posts. Those response can then be linked in forum posts or shared in social networks.

Approach experts with any questions you cannot answer personally. Make it clear in the message you send them that you will recommend their product or website on your blog, and you will provide a link back from the post where you publish their answers.
