How to switch back to the old Gmail interface

Google has recently updated its Gmail interface to a new look.  The first time you log into Gmail since the new interface was launched, you'll be asked to switch to the new interface.  However, this switch is not permanent (yet).  If you don't like the new look and feel, you can switch back to the old interface easily, while the option is still available.  (Eventually, the new interface will become standard and you won't have the option to switch back anymore.)

Instructions
Step 1
Log in to your Gmail account

Navigate your web browser to the Gmail login page at http://mail.google.com.  Type your username and password into the fields provided, and then click on the blue Sign In button.  A "Loading" message will appear, and then your Gmail home page will be displayed.

Step 2
Switch back to the old interface

There are two settings buttons in the upper right corner of your mail page, each of which is marked with a gear icon.  One of them is all the way in the corner, next to your email addess, and the other is just a little below that, with a down arrow next to the gear icon.  Click on this lower icon to bring up a brief settings menu, and then click the "Revert to the old look temporarily" link.

Step 3
Confirm your choice

A box will pop up asking if you want to "Revert to the old look temporarily" or "Stick with the new look".  Click on the former link.  (If you want to give Google feedback, you can click the "Tell us why" link above the other two.)  The "Loading" message will appear, and then you'll be presented with the old Gmail interface.
